Simple advice from a centenarian: ‘Live the Ten Commandments’

Denia De Four of Four Roads, Tamana celebrated her 100th birthday on Wednesday, October 9. The celebrations took the form of a Mass, concelebrated by Msgr Michael de Verteuil and Fr Emmanuel Pierre at the Church of St Joachim and St Ann, followed by a reception in the churchyard.

Denia De Four, formerly Denia ‘Adella’ Monsegue, was born in Mundo Nuevo to Leon Emmanuel and Louisa, formerly Homer Monsegue. Her father relocated with his family of eight to Four Roads, Tamana while she was still a child.

At 28 years, Denia married Sylvanio De Four, on November 15, 1947 at the Church of San Raphael.
