Parishioners of Sangre Grande and environs are invited to the first of a series of public outreaches by The Ministry of Public Utilities and its entities WASA, T&TEC, SWMCOL and TTPOST.
The event, which takes place on Tuesday, is an initiative of Public Utilities Minister Robert Le Hunte “to bring the ministry’s services closer to communities across the country”, according to a press release sent to Catholic News. The venue is Camdan Court, (new Dass Building) 260 A Henderson Street, Sangre Grande.
There will be an exhibition and display of the ministry’s services from 3–5 p.m. Residents will then get an opportunity to interact with the Minister and key executives of the ministry’s agencies 5–7.30 p.m. Persons who wish to apply for any services should attend with their ID Card, T&TEC or WASA bill, land documents and proof of income.
“The series of public outreach engagements are expected among other things to build trust among key stakeholders; facilitate greater access to the programmes and services offered by the ministry and its agencies, and provide an opportunity for members of the population to directly interface with senior officials of the ministry and its agencies on issues pertaining to the provision of services in their communities”.
